Privacy Policy.

01 · Who We Are

Commencement is a brand of Urban Argyle Enterprises ("Commencement," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through drinkcommencement.com and related pages (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to this policy.

02 · Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Full name, email address, phone number, and zip code — when you join our notification list or submit a form on the Site.
• Your marketing consent choices, including consent to receive email and SMS communications.
• Anything you send us directly, such as email inquiries.

Information collected automatically (only with your cookie consent):

• Usage data via Google Analytics, such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you found the Site.

Signup and contact form submissions are stored in a customer database we maintain with Airtable; our hosting provider (Netlify) may also receive submissions as a backup processor. Purchases are completed through our checkout partner, BottleNexus, and its licensed retail partners. Information you provide at checkout, including payment card details and shipping address, is collected and handled by them under their own privacy policies. We do not receive or store your payment card information.

03 · How We Use Your Information

• To notify you about product releases, drops, events, and brand updates by email and, with your consent, by text message.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the Site and understand how visitors use it.
• To verify eligibility — our products and communications are intended only for people 21 years of age or older.
• To prevent spam and abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.

04 · Text Message (SMS) Marketing

By opting in through our signup forms, you consent to receive recurring automated marketing text messages (e.g., drop announcements, purchase links, and event updates) from Commencement / Urban Argyle Enterprises at the phone number you provided. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.

• Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP at any time to cancel. Reply HELP for help, or contact info@drinkcommencement.com.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

05 · Cookies & Analytics

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

• A functional cookie that remembers your age-verification response for 30 days, and an equivalent browser-storage flag used when cookies are unavailable.
• A functional preference that remembers whether you have already seen our release-signup prompt.
• A functional preference that remembers your cookie-consent choice.
• Google Analytics cookies — loaded only if you accept analytics cookies — which help us understand Site traffic.

You can change your choice at any time via Cookie Settings, and you can additionally opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

06 · How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers who help us run the business — website hosting, our customer database (Airtable), email and SMS delivery platforms, and analytics — and who may use it only to provide services to us.
• Our checkout partner (BottleNexus) and the licensed retailers who process, ship, and verify age for orders placed through the Site.
• Authorities or other parties when required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
• A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

07 · Your Choices & Rights

• Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
• SMS: reply STOP to any message.
• Cookies: use the Cookie Settings link on this Site.
• Access, correction, or deletion: email info@drinkcommencement.com and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information as defined by those laws). Residents of other states with privacy laws, and of the EEA/UK, may have similar rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.

08 · Data Retention

We keep list-signup information for as long as you remain subscribed, plus a reasonable period needed to honor opt-outs and meet legal obligations. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so unless we are required to retain it.

09 · Security

The Site is served over HTTPS and we use reputable providers with industry-standard safeguards to store your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10 · Age Restriction

This Site and our communications are intended only for adults 21 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If you believe someone under 21 has provided us information, contact info@drinkcommencement.com and we will delete it.
